Janna Claire Woods, 54, of Egin, died Sunday, July 4, 2004, at Madison Memorial Hospital in Rexburg.
She was born June 20, 1950, in Cedar City, Utah, to DuWayne Williams and Bonnie Clair Vernon Williams.
She attended schools in Milford, Utah, graduating from Milford High School in 1968. She studied early childhood education at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, graduating in 1973.
She taught first through eighth grades in a one-room schoolhouse for a year at Bullfrog, Utah. The next year she taught at O'Neill Basin, Nev., kindergarten through seventh grades, also in a one-room schoolhouse. She taught elementary and junior high school in Rexburg from 1976 to the time of her death.
She loved arts and crafts, sewing and reading. She loved to learn. She was very interested in history and loved to travel, often combining the two by traveling to historic sites. She was an expert in Idaho history.
She married the love of her life, Dave, Dec. 7, 1991.
She was a member of the Parker LDS Ward and loved serving as a visiting teacher. She was serving on the Board of Directors of the Idaho Falls Farmers Market at the time of her death. She also served on various committees at Madison Junior High School where she loved to teach.
She is survived by her husband, David O. Woods of Egin; children, David Quentin (Tara) Woods of Pocatello and Candace (Nick) Mamola of Pocatello; her parents, DuWayne and Bonnie Williams of Milford, Utah; and a brother, Casey (Ida) Williams of Bountiful, Utah.
Services conducted at the Parker LDS Church by Bishop Wayne Forbush. Burial in the Parker Cemetery.
