Sarah Lou Brown Guest is the daughter of Floyd Nicholas Brown (Feb. 05, 1857 GA - Apr. 04, 1915 AL) and his second wife, Ona Mahaley (Winn) Brown (Nov. 18, 1874 GA - Aug. 02, 1959 AL).

Floyd Nicholas Brown (Feb. 05, 1857 GA - Apr. 04, 1915 AL)married first to Eliza T. Williams (July 30, 1861 GA - June 27, 1887 GA) and they had at least two children by their marriage:

(1.)Thomas Brown (Born Abt. 1881 GA)

(2.) Lillie Brown (Feb. 05, 1887 GA - March 10, 1976 AL)), she married William Lander Kimberly


Floyd Nicholas Brown (Feb. 05, 1857 GA - Apr. 04, 1915 AL) and his second wife, Ona Mahley Winn Brown (Nov. 18, 1874 GA - Aug. 02, 1959 AL) were married on Jan. 28, 1891 in Blount County, Alabama, and they had seven children together by their marriage:

(1.) Lee Hayden Brown (Oct. 30, 1892 AL - July 19, 1971 AL), he is the husband of Mary Jane Boyd.

(2.) Glenn Floyd Brown (Jan. 21, 1895 - Feb. 28, 1966 AL), he is the husband of Frances O'Rear Brown (June 8, 1906 - Nov. 13, 1987 AL)

(3.) Jay Henry Brown (May 31, 1897 - Apr. 03, 1967 AL)

(4.) Mollie Mae Brown (June 01, 1905 AL - Apr. 04, 1973 AL), she married Meldon Glayds Wells (Apr. 12, 1905 - Jan. 18, 1979 AL).

(5.) Fred Noah Brown (July 02, 1908 AL - Jan. 16, 1982 AL), he is the husband of Myrtle Sitz Brown (March 16, 1913 AL - May 05, 1984 AL).

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Collier-Butler Chapel for Mrs. Sarah Lou Brown Guest, 89, Gadsden, who died Thursday, July 26, 2001. The Rev. Juston Ward will officiate. Burial in Forrest Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral Home is in charge.

Mrs. Guest was the daughter of the late Floyd Nicholas Brown and Ona Mahaley Winn Brown. She was born in Grand View, Texas, and moved to Boaz at an early age. She later moved to Attalla where she lived until she wed A. C. Guest on June 30, 1936.

Mrs. Guest joined the Methodist Church in Boaz and then moved her letter to Attalla First United Methodist Church after moving to Attalla. After she married, she joined First Baptist of Gadsden, then later joined South Highland Baptist where she was a happy member for more than 40 years.

She is survived by her sons, Curtis Edward Guest and James David Guest; daughters, Sarah Wynn Hill, Ruth Ann Jaggers, Mary Sharron Barrett, Cindy Lou Russell, Cathy Roberta Weitzman; daughters-in-law, Louise and Gail Guest; sons-in-law, Herman Jaggers, Tim Barrett, Wayne Russell and John Weitzman; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Mark, Matt and Mike Guest, Etic Jaggers, Roger and Edward Strawn, Brian Russell and Chris Barrett.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of South Highland Baptist Church and all personal friends, Holly Robertson, Tim Taylor and nurses and staff of Northside Health Care Center.

The family will accept flowers of memorials may be made to South Highland Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home.
