Maryline Mounts Chapman, 78, of Freeburn, died Sunday, June 22, 2012, at Williamson Memorial Hospital, Williamson, WV.

She was born July 22, 1934, in Freeburn, the daughter of the late Wayne Mounts and Sister E. Eldridge Mounts.

She was a homemaker and of the Protestant faith.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Chapman.

She is survived by one daughter, Teresa Baker of Kentucky, nine sisters, Elva Mounts, Mattie Prater, Beulah Norman, Ruby Workman and Erma Blankenship, all of Freeburn, Leanie Layne of Chicago, Verlene Dotson of Phelps, Lilly Bell of Beckley, WV., Pearl Blankenship of Majestic, and two grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at noon Thursday, July 26, 2012, in the Eagle's Nest Church, Barrenshe Creek of Freeburn, with the Rev. Bernard Smith and Marty Lester officiating. Burial will follow in the Freeburn Cemetery, Barn Hollow of Freeburn.

Visitation is at the church, after 6 p.m. Wednesday, with services at 7 p.m.

Arrangements are under direction of Phelps Funeral Services.
