Adell Marie Jackson Andersen, 79, died December 28, 2000 at UVRMC in Provo with her family at her side.

Born 6 June 1921 in Salt Lake City, UT as Millie Luke, she was adopted by David Owen and Marie Johanna Nielsen Jackson. She loved the Girl Scouts, and her time at Camp Cloud Rim. She served in the WAAC and WAC in World War II. Married Chanley Vincent Andersen 20 Nov 1948 in Salt Lake City, sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple 6 June 1952. He died 17 July 1965. Adell was a graduate of South High, Salt Lake City 1938; BYU 1948.

Survived by her children, Marie Grace Andersen and George Jackson Andersen, both of Provo; Robert Lynn Jackson Andersen (Susan), East Carbon; brother Osmer (Thora) Bills, Provo; five grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. Preceded in death by her husband, parents, and daughter, Dorothy Jean Andersen.

Services will be held Tues. Jan 2, 2001, 10 a.m., at the Utah Central LDS Stake Center, 450 N. 1200 W., Provo. Friends may call Mon. at the Berg Mortuary of Provo, 185 E. Center St, 6-8 p.m. or Tues. at the Stake Center, one hour prior to services. Graveside services and interment, 1:30 p.m., Wasatch Lawn, 3401 S. Highland Dr, Salt Lake City. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the Utah Girl Scout Council.
