Mrs. Ethel Provines, 82, of Sumner, died Friday at 11 p.m. at the Red Hills Rest Haven Nursing Home, Sumner.
She was born in Sumner March 12, 1893, daughter of F. Nathan Brian and Millie A. Sanders.
Surviving are her husband, Jacob Provines; three sons,
Fred Provines of Springfield, Albert Provines of Spencer, Ind., and Rex Provines of Lancaster, Calif.; a daughter, Mrs. Carl (Kathryn Ruth) Shaw of St. Petersburg, Fla.; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are two brothers, L. Otis Brian of Flora and Hubert Brian of Deland; a sister, Mrs. Lynn (Ruth) Franklin of Pearl.
She was a member of the Church of Christ of Sumner.
Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the Sivert Funeral Home in Sumner, with Bro. William Read officiating, assisted by Bro. Luther Toliver.
Burial will be in the Waggoner Cemetery, north of Chauncey. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
