Mrs. Harris was born on Feb 10, 1882 in Coryell County to George and Loretta (Holland) Elms.

She had lived in Waco about 45 years. She was a member of Faith Tabernacle.

Survivors include: her husband, Francis Marion Harris; four sons, R.F. Harris, and A.L. Harris of Waco, C.J. Harris of Houston, and E. M. Harris of Los Angeles; seven daughters, Mrs. E.T. Campbell of Waco, Mrs. J.T. Golding, Mrs. R. L. Kyle and Mrs. Earl Honnell all of Houston; Mrs. Irving Birmingham and Mrs. Bill Parker both of Dallas; and Mrs. M.S. Collins of Austin; four sisters, Mrs. Sadie Abley, Mrs. Fannie Vines, and Mrs. Willie Avery all of Erick OK, and Mrs. Mollie Brown of Decatur; two brothers, Jim Elms of Oklahoma City, and Ed Elms of San Diego CA; 20 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
