Charles O. Brown of Ohio City lived 84 years on this earth. He died of a heart attack in Dayton Ohio. Born in Liberty twp. a son of Lewis and Cora May (Taylor) Brown. In 1913 he married Ila D. Ross who preceded him in death in 1965. Survivors include 4 sons, Ross of Wapakoneta, Lloyd and Keith both of Dayton, and Carl of Germantown, a daughter, Mrs Williard (Esther) Severs, two brothers, Cash and Joe, three sisters, Gladys Stump, Aldona Wallace, Ioma Johnson, 23 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by daughter, Edyth Stevens, 4 brothers, Clyde, Pearl, Don, Kenneth, and two sisters, Mrs. Bessie Kurgh, and Mrs. Bina Williams.
Know as Charlie Short Brown he was a retired farmer and ditching contractor. He was a member of the Ohio City Church of God, Hyler Chapter Eastern Star, Ohio City Eureka lodge, F&AM, of which he is a past master, and Scottish Rite, Valley of Dayton. He served as trustee of Liberty Township.
