FRONTENAC - Otto W. Faucett, 90, of Frontenac, died at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 4, 2004 at the Sunset Manor Nursing Home in Frontenac where he had been a resident since Oct. 15. He was born Sept. 23, 1914 in Midway, to Audie and Hattie Lipscomb Faucett. He was a lifetime resident of Frontenac. He was a veteran of World War II, serving his country in the U.S. Navy.
He married Alma Seely on Dec. 17, 1935 in Girard. She preceded him in death on Oct. 24, 1996. He worked as a truck driver and mechanic working for George Radell, M&M Motors and Vern Plattner Ford.
He was of the Methodist faith and a member of the Benjamin Fuller America Legion Post No. 64 of Pittsburg.
Survivors include two sons, John Faucett of Frontenac, and Everett Faucett of Milford Center, Ohio; two daughters, who helped provide for his care, Patsy A. Faucett of the home and Debra Merman of Frontenac; three grandsons; one granddaughter; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters; and four brothers. Funeral Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at the Friskel Funeral Home of Frontenac with Rev. Verl Strong officiating. Burial will follow in the Frontenac City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. a the funeral home on Sunday where friends may call after 11 a.m.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Friskel Funeral Home, 230 E. McKay, of Frontenac.
