Elkhart, Ind. - Edward Kurtz Jr., 71, 28807 Oakwood Place, died at 5:40pm Monday in his home.
He was born Oct. 10, 1928, in Noble County, to Edward and Alme (Burk) Kurtz Sr. On Jan. 8, 1954, he married Darlene L. Wetmer in Angola.
He was a pipefitter at Miles/Bayer Corporation retiring in 1991. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean Conflict.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Francis Jones, Martha Mae Kurtz, and Virginia Bissenger, and a half sister, Sabina Kline.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm today at Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home and Crematory. Services will be held a 2pm Thursday in the funeral home. The Rev. Karen Koelach of Calvary United Methodist Church will officate. Burial will be in Brown Cemetery, Millersburg.
