Funeral services for Mrs. Rachel Speer Cook were held March 22 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Arcadia with Rev. Mark Strickland officiating. Burial was in Hurricane Cemetery. Mrs. Cook passed away at Bienville General Hospital on March 20. She was a resident of Arcadia.
She is survived by two sons, Rodney Cook of Arcadia and Billy R. Cook of Arcadia; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Lois Myers of Patterson, Calif. and Mrs. Cecil Young of Athens; one brother, Claud Speer of Arcadia; several nieces and nephews and five grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Jerry Caskey, Ray Harmon, Gilbert Sims, Alfred White, Rex Young, and John Newsom.
