Born in Salford Twp. where he resided his entire life, he was a son of the late E. Paul S. and Anna (Blank) Barndt.
He was a self-employed dairy farmer for 80 years, living and working on the family farm where he was born and resided his entire life.
Mr. Barndt was a lifelong member of Little Zion Lutheran Church in Telford.
He enjoyed talking to people, especially about weather and local history. He also enjoyed eating, family reunions and speaking and listening to Pennsylvania Dutch.
He was survived by three daughters, Patricia Ann Barndt-Slater and her husband, Wayne, of Telford, Debra Lynn High of Telford and Christine N. Lyle and her husband, Rodger, of Schwenksville; four sons, David L. Barndt and his wife, Karen, of Telford, Steven C. Barndt and his wife, Kathy, of Pennsburg, Thomas G. Barndt, Sr. and his wife, Donna, of Perkiomenville and Philip E. Barndt and his wife, Eileen, of Harleysville; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; four sisters, Arlene Smith and her husband, Lester, of Souderton, Catherine Hangey of Telford, Helen Kratz and her husband Ellis of Norristown and Dorothy Evans of Sanatoga; a brother, Linford Barndt and his wife, Anna, of Telford; and a sister-in-law, Nancy Barndt of Sellersville. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Harvey and Samuel Barndt and a sister, Martha Pizza.
Funeral Services were held on Friday, July 20, 2012 in the Little Zion Lutheran Church, Telford, PA. Interment was in the adjoining church cemetery.
