CURD, RICHARD (CLAY), age 83, member of Norwood Church of Christ went to be with the Lord on Friday, Aug 13th, 2004 at UT Hospital, Knoxville. Mr. Curd was a member of the CCC Corps during World War II. He retired from Sheet Metal Workers Local #5. Mr. Curd was a native of Mountain City, TN with many friends and relatives there.

Mr. Curd was preceded in death by his parents Alfred and Carrie Jones Curd brothers Lynn and Harold Curd sister Adwina Curd Arnold

Survived by his wife Peggy Curd sons Lewis Curd and wife Janice Wilson Curd son Dean Curd of Knoxville special step mother Ira Curd, sisters Wanda Payne and Doris Curd brother, Carl Mast and wife of Mountain City, TN sister-in-law Grace Curd. Mr. Curd delighted in his grandsons Andrew, Keith and Alex and granddaughters Ami, Allison, and Melissa. He was especially fond of his many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at Percy-Hux Funeral Home in Mountain City, TN on Sunday 1-3 PM, with graveside service on Sunday at 3 PM at Dunn Cemetery, Forge Creek, TN. Pallbearers are: Albert Davis, Larry Payne, Dwight Curd, Andrew Curd, Danny Curd, Jamie Curd, Keith Curd, and Brigham Arnold. Robert Cowles will officiate. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to the American Heart Association.
