Tom Vann of Big Spring died Friday, Sept. 12, 2003 at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene following a lengthy illness. He was 67 years old.
He was born Sept. 21, 1935 in Lockhart and lived in Dodson and Memphis before he moved to Big Spring from Stanton in 1986.
He first married Jackie Powers of Dodson and following her death, he married Jo Vann. He was a retired truck driver and a member of the Lutheran faith.
Survivors include his wife, Jo Vann of Big Spring; four daughters, Ronnie Epley of Big Spring, Nancy and Mike Denman of Tuscola; Meg and Frank Atchison of Monahans, Julie Vann of Beeville, one son, Mart and Tina Sherman of Big Spring; two stepdaughters, Leslie Stevens and Angela Patterson of Big Spring; 10 grandchildren and one great grandson and a sister, Janice Thorpe, of Beeville.
