Ruth M. Blackwell
LARNED - Ruth M. Blackwell,93, died Sept. 12, 1998, at the Larned Health Care and Living Center. She was born Sept. 27, 1904, at Girard, the daughter of E.B. and Lewellyn Parker. A longtime Pawnee County resident, she was a farm wife.
She belonged to First Christian Church, Larned, the Kansas Authors Association and was a Pawnee County Republican Committeewoman.
On Aug. 14, 1924, she married George S. Blackwell at Larned. He died April 24, 1973.
Survivors include: a son, Jim Blackwell, Larned; four grandsons; four granddaughters; 19 great- grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Sho was preceded in death by two sons, George P. "Junior" and Richard E.; and a granddaughter. Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Christian Church, Larned, with the Rev. Daniel Lundgren presiding. Burial will be in Garfield Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to the Larned Heath Care and Living Center.
