"Lewis A. Hill, 69, a resident of Route 6, Mount Vernon, died suddenly yestersay afternoon in a Mount Vernon Hospital. Mr. Hill was born in Union, Indiana, Feb 1 1890, the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Michael Hill. He attended school in Union, Indiana. He came west in 1918 to Sedro-Woolley, where he was employed in the Carnation Milk Plant. For the past 29 years he was millwright for the Weyerhauser Mills in Everett until his retirement a little over a year ago."
"He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Mount Vernon, and Peninsular No. 95 F & AM of Everett"
"He was united in marriage to Lily R. Chesnut in Terre Haute, Indiana on Jan 9, 1915."
"Survivors are his wife at the family home; a daughter, Katherine Stromberg of Grandview, four sons, Lewis J. Hill of Route 6, Mount Vernon, William F. Hill of Seattle, Robert A. Hill of Everett, and Thomas E. Hill of Concrete."
"Funeral services will be held in the Kern Funeral Chapel, Saturday at 1 p.m. with Rev. Wilholland Williams of the First Baptist Church officiating, Interment will be in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetry."
