Husband of Vera Jane Rushbrooke. Father of 13 children. Was a brakeman for the Clinchfield Railroad. He traveled from West Virginia to Dante Virginia to Elkhorn Kentucky to Bostic North Carolina to Erwin Tennessee and many other places with his family working for the railroad all his life. Many of his sons followed in his footsteps.
