Excerpts from The Gadsden Times, Monday, January 13, 2003: John Kenneth Adams, 61, Southside, died Sat., Jan. 11, 2003. Funeral at Collier-Butler Chapel and burial in Southside Memorial Park. He was a native of Atlanta and a Gadsden resident for the past 30 years; a veteran of U.S. Air Force and member of Meadowbrook Baptist Church. He was a graduate of John Marshall University in Georgia and owner/operator of Adco Alarm Company until his retirement. He is survived by his wife, Mary Alice Foote Adams; 3 daughters, Amy, Ashley and Abby; mother, Ruby Adams, Atlanta and two brothers, Gerald and George of Atlanta.
