Nancy Ann Stevenson was the fourth of ten children born to Samuel L. Stevenson and Elizabeth W. Herrin. She married a Frenchman, John S. Party (sometimes spelled "Partie," as in the cemetery records) on 26 May 1858 in Douglas County, Oregon. John and Nancy had three children, two of whom died very young.

Nancy survived her husband by about 54 years and lived in Roseburg for the last 61 years of her life.

Nancy and her husband were buried in unmarked graves in the Stevenson family plot at Roseburg Memorial Gardens Cemetery in the so-called "Old Section."
