Robert Carlies Cothran was killed in action in Vietnam, along with 36 others from his unit when they engaged the enemy in the vicinity of MY CANH, 23 kilometers South-Southwest of TUY HOA City in a 2 day battle between February 6th and 7th, 1966.
He was born January 25, 1947. He was in Company B, 1st Battlion, 327th Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division. He was survived by his mother, Mrs. Amelia C. Lewis, Cleveland, Ohio, and Mr. Willie Brooks, address unknown. Also mentioned in his records, he was also survived by Mrs. Amelia Cothran, grandmother, same adddress as mother.
