Mary Elizabeth was born February 4,1823 in Crittenden County, Arkansas the only child of Duke Hullum Harris and Mary Barney.
She was married to Augustus Rollins on March 29. 1843 in Madison County TN. From this union they had three children:
William H. Rollins
Mary Ann Rollins Perry
John J. Rollins born abt 1847
After the death of Augustus Rollins in 1850, she married James Milton Alexander on March 15,1855. From this union there was eight children born.
