GILLAND, LEAFIE DUNN - age 93, of Townsend died December 12, 2000 at the family home. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Preceded in death by husband, M. Oliver Gilland; parents, William P. & Joah Dunn; baby daughter; sisters, Belvia Brickey, Rebecca Myers, Mae Wilson; brothers, Harvey Dunn, Mathes Dunn, Peter Dunn, Bryson Dunn, Ollie Dunn; great grandson, Ryan Singleton.

Survivors include; sons and daughters in law, C. A. & Loretta Gilland of Maryville and Oliver & Lynn Gilland of NC; daughter and son in law, Frances & Bobby Brackin of Townsend; daughter, Lois Jackson of Maryville; grandchildren, Debbie & husband, Mike Greaser, Bobby (Franny) & wife, Connie Brackin, David and wife, Janice Gilland, Jeanne and husband, Kelly Pearmain, Rebecca & husband, Ralph Martin, Amanda & husband, Mike Singleton, Lori Garner, Trent Gilland; great grandchildren, Stephanie and husband, Gary Perkins, Kelly & husband, Tommy Kerr, Curt Brackin, Kacy Brackin, Kenda Roberts, Greg Pearmain, Stephen Pearmain, Kayla Singleton, Christian Singleton, Kallie Singleton; great-great grandson, Bryson Eli Perkins; sister, Alice Wilson of Maryville. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday December 16, 2000 in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Rev. Darren Wigington officiating. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Saturday, December 16, 2000 Trinity Chapel, Smith Mortuary, Maryville, 983-1000.
