David M. Lusk, 82 of Monongahela, (Victory Hill) died Monday, October 31, 2011 in Monongahela-Valley Hospital. Born April 14, 1929 in Finleyville, he was the son of the late Paul and Jane (Morrison) Lusk. Mr. Lusk worked as a clerical worker for 40 years at the former Combustion Engineering in Monongahela until their closing. He then worked until his retirement at the former Monessen Giant Eagle in the deli department. A 1947 graduate of Monongahela High School, he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the 1st Christian Church in Monongahela and the Finleyville American Legion Post #613. Surviving are his wife of 55 years Dorla D. (Houston) Lusk, two daughters and sons-in-law Diane L. and David Crossey of North Versailles; and Debra S. and David Bartman of Monongahela; a brother Francis and wife Patricia Lusk of Finleyville; four grandchildren Justin Crossey, Meghan and husband Norm Locke and Alec and Chelsea Bartman and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were two brothers James and Robert Lusk and five sisters Betty Rose, Ruth Lusk, Faye Clark, Martha Yates and Rachel Lusk who died as an infant, and a grandson Brandin Crossey who died December 16, 2010. Friends will be received at the Marshall Marra Funeral Home, 216 Chess Street, Monongahela, 724-258-6767, marshallmarrafuneralhome.com from 2-4 and 6-8pm Wednesday where services will be held Thursday November 3, 2011, with Rev. Gerald Demarest Officiating. Interment will follow in Monongahela Cemetery where military honors will be conducted by the Mon-Valley Honor Guard and Firing Squad.
