John P. Seever
The remains of John P. Seever, 79, a resident of Poplar Creek, who passed away at the General hospital at Madison on Monday, Oct. 20, after a six month illness, arrived here Wednesday morning and funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Colfax Lutheran church, Rev. S.M. Moe, pastor of the church, preaching the sermon. Mr. Seever was born in Walworth county March 12, 1862 and was married to Miss Carrie Jones. He is survived by his wife and six sons: Paul, Floyd, Richard, Franklin and Harry, two brothers, Chauncey, Chetek; Irvin, town of Grant; three sisters, Mrs. Marion Balknap, Chetek; Stella Dean, town of Grant; Jesse Partlo, Colfax. He was preceded in death by four sons, Fred, Milo, Arthur and Joseph, also a daughter, Mrs. Olaf Christianson. Two brothers, Arthur and Jean, and a sister, Frances King preceded him in death.
