SUMMERVILLE, GA - Willie Bell Rodgers, 88, passed away Thursday, June 28, 2012, in the local nursing home.
Mrs. Rodgers was born on September 11, 1923, in Ackerman, MS, a daughter of the late Lee Boyce and Clara Reid Bruce.
She was a member of Central Avenue Baptist Church, a retired sales clerk for Bohannons clothing store, and was preceded in death by her husbands, the late Odell Minor on March 24, 1987 and the late John Grady Rodgers on February 3, 2012.
Surviving are her sisters, Melba Gammill, of Louisville, MS, and Nella Dean Melton of Atlanta, GA; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. today, June 29, 2012 from Graveside in Greenhills Memory Gardens with Rev. Jimmy Weaver officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1 until 2:45 p.m. today at the Funeral Home.
