Mr. Calvin Scott Barber, 73, of 3513 Sandy Creek Road, Dry Fork, VA went to be with his Lord at his residence.

He was the son of the late Turner Barber and Ida Belle Scott Barber Butcher.

He married his wife Iva Jeane Holland Barber on July 7, 1948. He lived his entire life in Pittsylvania County and prior to his retirement he was a farmer.

He was a member of Whitmell Christian Church.

In addition to his wife of the residence, he is survived by two sisters, Naomi B. Pritchett of Danville, VA and Mattie Lou B Sheffield of Greenville, NC.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by one sister, Nelor Mae Barber Black and five brothers, Capres Barber, Claude Barber, Eddie Barber, Norman Barber and Thomas Barber.

The funeral was held at the Wrenn-Yeatts Westover Chapel with Pastor Butch Dillinger, Pastor Jack Oakes and Dr. Leroy Clack officiating.
