Death: Jan. 14, 1914

Ruth Cooper (Spencer) Brown's parents came from England (her mother was Irish) to Canada, and then to the United States.

Her father, Obediah Cooper Spencer (who was born in Canada) was a ship builder, and probably built ships in England (the Spencers had nothing to do with England).

Mr. Spencer was brought to Erie by Loomis Ship Builders.

Ruth's mother was Martha (Lee) Brown Spencer. Her family was from Oswego, New York.
