Esther E. Pierce, 56, of 1715A Calumet Drive, died this morning at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital. She had been in poor health for the past nine months.
The former Esther E. Spang was born April 1, 1928, in Hilbert, daughter of the late Peter and Clara Benzshawel Spang. She attended public schools in Hilbert and Fond du Lac. Her marriage to Wesley Pierce of Sheboygan took placeon Dec. 1954. She had been employed at Wigwam Mills for several years and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Pierce did volunteer work for the Salvation Army and at Washington School.
She is survived by her husband, two daughters, Clara Ann and Mary Ann, both at home; three brothers, Matthew of California, and Ralph and Cyril, both of Fond du Lac; and three sisters, Mrs. Marie Rudolph of Berlin, Mrs. John Dramel of Eden and Mrs. Linus Bartellet of Fond du Lac.
She was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Monday at Ballhorn Funeral Chapels. Officiating will be the Rev. Edwin Bek of St. Paul Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Sunday. A memorial has been established in her name.
