Mrs. R.C. Bailey, Waterloo, Nebr., sister of Walter and William Bell of Creighton, passed away at the Lutheran hospital in Omaha last Thursday.

She died during the progress of an operation, after being taken to the the hospital the previous Monday.

Mrs. Bailey had been in ill health for some time, but her illness was not considered serious. Death came just two days before her fifty eighth birthday.

Born in Mason City, Iowa, March 25, 1881, Mrs. Bailey came to Nebraska with her parents in 1888. They located at Springview and lived there during the winter. Then, came to Creighton to make their home.

She spent the days of her youth here and attended public school.

On July 3, 1900, she was united in marriage to J.G. Warner, stepson of the late John Markley. One daughter, Leona, was born to this union. Mr. Warner died in 1919.

Her second marriage to R.C. Bailey occurred in 1920 at Omaha. Two daughters, Alma and Edith, were born to this union. Following their marriage, they resided several years at Hartington, then, moved to Waterloo, which has since been their home.

Besides the husband and three daughters, Mrs. Leon Dall of Fremont, Alma and Edith of Waterloo, she leave to mourn one sister, Mrs. Emma Bradley of Columbus, Wis. and two brothers, W.J. and W.E. Bell of Creighton.

Funeral services were held at Waterloo, Sunday morning at 10 o'clock from the Christian church. The body was brought here Sunday afternoon for burial. Brief services were conducted at the grave by Re. D.S. Bornmeier, pastor of the Methodist church. Interment was made beside here mother, who preceded her in death in 1936. Her father died in the Soldier's Home at Los Angeles, Calif., February 11, 1923.
