BURCHETT, Kenneth Frank Born May 12, 1929 in Oklahoma. Died peacefully this past Friday morning, October 21. July of this year he celebrated 45 years of sobriety through AA. He and his late wife, Mary dedicated much of their lives together to helping others in their recovery from addiction. They founded the Midway Ranch Sober Living Home in Lancaster in 1990. Previously they helped to support many other recovery homes and AA meetings throughout the Antelope and San Fernando Valley. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jeanne (Carloni); son, David; parents, Ernest and Anne Burchett of Bakersfield; his brother, William (Bill) also of Bakersfield, his brother, Tom of Fall River, Massachusetts, his brother, Harvey of Yuma, Arizona, and his sister, Diane Harmon (Barnes) of Victorville, California. He is survived by his sisters, Frances Melcher of Arizona and Lucille Melcher of Washington; his daughter and son-in-law, Geraldine and Frank Pirri of North Attleboro, Massachusetts and their children, Anthony, Thomas, Jeffery, Allyson and Scott Philbin and his great-grandchildren, Sean and Abby. He also leaves behind his daughter and son-in-law, Suzanne Marie and Kevin Cooper of Valencia and his beloved granddaughters, Kristen, Katherine, and Lauren.
