Jack "Dugan" Brain, 65, of Eldon, passed away on June 21, 2012, at his home in Eldon.

Jack was born on March 26, 1947, in Knoxville, the son of Jack S. and Esther Smith Brain. In June 1969, he married Rita Watton, and they divorced in 1983. He then married Pat Heywood on May 23, 1986.

He served in the U.S.Army as a communications expert from 1967 to 1970 and was deployed on two tours to Veitnam. Jack was employed for 25 years at US West as a cable man and manager. After his retirement, he drove a semi for Golden Furrow Fertilizer in Eldon. He was a wonderful man and father who enjoyed fishing, panning for gold, metal detecting, old cars and spendig time with his friends. Jack had a caring, giving soul.

Survivors include his wife Pat Brain of Eldon; two daughters, Heather Brain of Bailey, Colo., and Chantelle(Lyle)Collett of Agency; six grandchildren, Damian, Tori, Daniel, Ashley, Savannah and Jasey; two great-grandchildren; mother, Esther Brain of Loveland, Colo.; and two sisters, Kay(Doug)Swan of Sheridan, Wyo., and Jannie Brain of Loveland, Colo.

He was preceded in death by his father,.

Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at 6 pm Monday at Living Hope Bible Church in Eldon; with Pastor Dave Albert officiating. A memorial fund is being established for the family to assist with funeral expenses.

Grace Funeral Care in Eldon is assisting the family with arrangements.
Cremated, Location of ashes is unknown.
