DAVIS Eloise Kahalley Davis passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 20. She was born on December 7, 1925 in Bay Minette, Alabama to Joseph and Lydia Kahalley. She graduated from Murphy High School with the Class of 1942. Working at Brookley Field she met her husband, Bennie M. Davis, Sr. and they were married on September 1, 1957. Eloise was a Charter Member of the Lebanese American Club of Mobile; an active member of Spanish Fort Presbyterian Church and an Honorary Life Membership recipient; a Thomas Hospital Auxiliary Volunteer in the gift shop for over 10 years; an original volunteer with St. Jude on the Bay fundraising organization for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital; a member of the Mobile Chapter #348 Order of the Eastern Star; Past President and active member of the Spanish Fort Estates Garden Club and a Mercy Medical Volunteer. Her life was a living testimony to her Christian beliefs. Eloise was a gracious, loving, and generous person who touched the lives of many people. She was always active and constantly helping or cheering others in her own private and unassuming way. She had an extremely positive outlook and always a kind word for others. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and all who knew her. Eloise was preceded in death by her husband, Bennie M. Davis, Sr., and her brother, Joseph C. Kahalley. She is survived by two sons, Bennie M. Davis, Jr. (Margarita) of Atlanta, GA and Joseph H. Davis of Spanish Fort, AL, one brother Parker N. Kahalley of Mobile, AL and one granddaughter Isabella Marie Davis. Loving nieces and nephews include Larry Davis (Molly) of Birmingham, AL; Jim Davis of Atlanta, GA; Johanna K. Anton (Dave) of San Mateo, CA; David A. Kahalley (Aiveen) of Spanish Fort, AL and Danny H. Kahalley (Lisa) of Houston, TX. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 26 at 11:00 a.m at Pine Crest Cemetery, 1939 Dauphin Island Parkway, Mobile, AL followed by a Celebration of Life Service for all family and friends at 2:00 p.m. at Spanish Fort Presbyterian Church, 6620 Spanish Fort Blvd., Spanish Fort, AL. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to Spanish Fort Presbyterian Church or your favorite charity.
