His death today climaxed a career of nearly forty years as a lawyer in Mayfield, during which time he served as city attorney and police court judge in addition to the post of county attorney to which he was elected in 1937, and was serving his third year.

He was also engaged in real estate business in Mayfield for some time.

Attorney Wyman was one of the most active members of the First Baptist church and for many years was a Sunday school class teacher. He was also a member of the senior broad of deacons.

He went to Hot Springs, Ark., about three months ago for vacation and to take treatment for a blood ailment. He returned to duty here evidently fully recovered, but about three weeks ago suffered a heart attack early one night. He had had several severe attacks since then and remained confined to his bed, but yesterday his condition was thought to be slightly improved.

It was announced today that offices at the courthouse and city hall will remain closed tomorrow afternoon out of respect for the prominent Mayfield official and lawyer.
