Tinna Doll Cone
Tinna Doll Cone, 93, of Brookshire, Texas passed away Friday April 20, 2012 in Houston. She was born March 15, 1919 in Wadsworth to the late Manerva Jane Jones & Courtis Freeman Cone Sr. She lived In Boling for many years, worked in Wharton during World War II, was trained as a X-Ray Tech at Herman Hospital in Houston, was a member of the First Baptist Church of Houston & Sealy. When she retired, she moved to Silver Lake Retirement Center in Sealy.
Tinna was preceded in death by her parents and 8 siblings: Vivian Cone, Louis Cone & wife Mary, A. B. Cone & wife Ethel, Arthur Jerome Cone & wife Dorothy, Tiana Cone, Curtis Freeman Cone Jr., Troy Cone & wife Wilma, and Lela Caruthers & husband Ben. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will start at 12 Noon Friday, April 27, 2012 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, April 28, 2012 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home with Rev. Merle Blado officiating. Interment will follow at Hawley Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Dan Cone, Henry Miller, John Mathew, David Fowler, and Robert A. "Butch" Cone III. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Mickey Rehak and Grant Miller.
