Second Lieutenant Braly was aboard B-17F
Flying Fortress #42-29558, serving with
the 602 Bomb Squadron, 398 Bomb Group,
Rapid City Army Air Base.

He was one of ten airmen killed in the crash of
of the bomber, ten miles north of Rosebud,
South Dakota.

Airmen lost were:
