Age 98, of North Ft. Myers, Fla., formerly of Eagle, Mich. and Twin Lake, Mich., passed away on Monday, Dec. 11, 2006, in Ft. Myers.
Floyd was a farmer and a salesman, working for Grand Ledge John Deere and retired from Grand Ledge Ford in 1973.
A memorial service was held in North Ft. Myers, Tuesday, Dec. 19.
Floyd was born in Shiawassee County Aug. 1, 1908, the son of Fred and Alice (Sexton) Slocum. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a member of the Bayshore Community Chapel in North Ft. Myers.
Survivors include: his wife of 24 years, three sons (names of the living omitted) five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Edna; and sisters, Mabel Richter and Ethelyn Lewis.
