Mr. Canupp was born in Lockhart on November 29, 1927, a son of the late William Thomas and Lula Miller Canupp. He was a retired millwright foreman, a Presbyterian and a veteran of the U.S. Navy World War II.
Survivors in addition to his wife are: two daughters, Pam Foster of Sharon and Jean Canupp of Lockhart; two sons, William Canupp of Richburg and Dean Canupp of Aiken; a sister, Lois Carr of Chester; a brother, James H. Canupp of Sharon; 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
The funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. today, at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Chapel, by the Rev. Richard Conyers. Interment will be in the Lockhart Cemetery.
The family be at home of his daughter, Pam Foster, 3946 Miller Road, Sharon.
