Phoenix — Mary Lou Scott, age 83, of Globe, Ariz. passed away on Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at Maravilla Care Center in Phoenix, Ariz. She was born in Phoenix, Ariz. on March 8, 1929, the daughter of Harry R. and Nellie Scott.

Mary Lou resided in Phoenix until moving to Globe. She developed Pendred Syndrome as a young child and lost the ability to hear and most of her ability for speech.

Mary Lou worked many years at the Copper Rim Cafeteria until her retirement. She enjoyed walking and visiting her friends and family often. Mary Lou's favorite lunch was getting a slice of pizza and a Coke at Leonard Paul's.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Virginia Fish, Dorothy M. Brewer and Harriet Scott.

Mary Lou leaves behind in loving memory her sister, Shirley Vezzetti of Mesa, Ariz.; brother, Bill Scott of Van Buren, Ark., and her nieces and nephews.

Graveside Service will be held on Friday, June 15, 2012, at 10 a.m. at the Pinal Cemetery in Central Heights, Ariz.

Funeral arrangements for Mary Lou Scott were entrusted to Miles Funeral Services Globe.
