George died of cerebral hemorrhage related to arterioschlerosis. He lived with his daughter Ella after Alice's death. He was 74 years, 7 months and 18 days of age. The Rev. William F. Hastings, pastor of the First Congregational Church in Ithaca officiated. George was a member of the church. The undertaker was Raymond H Middaugh, 319 State St, Ithaca. C F Denman of Ithaca was the attending physician. He died intestate and letters of administration were granted to his daughter Ella. He owned a farm in the town of Caroline when he died. The estate was divided between the five children and amounted to $380 apiece. Arthur was living in Candor, New York. Ella was living at 118 Lake Avenue in Ithaca, New York. William was living in Otis, Colorado. Ida Porter was living in Akron, Colorado. Elizabeth Phillips is living in Waukesha, Wisconsin. The estate was settled in 1947.

George L. Richards died May 1935 at Ithaca, New York at the age of 74. He was buried in the Quick cemetery in Ithaca. He was a former resident of Beaver City. He was survived by his daughters, Mrs. G.L. Porter, Miss Ella Richards, Mrs. E.C. Phillips; sons, W.F. Richards and A.L. Richards.

George L. Richards, 74, former justice of the peace of the Town of Caoline, died Wednesday 17 April 1935 at his home, 323 West Buffalo Street.
Surviving are three daughters, Miss Ella E. Richards of Ithace, Mrs. G.L. Porter of Elba, Colorado and Mrs. E.C. PHillips of Waukesha, Wisconsin, two sons, W.F. Richards of Ophis, Colorado and A.L. Richards of Candor and several grandchilldren.
The funeral will be held at 3:30 o’clock Friday afternoon, 19 April, at the Congregational Church in Brooktondale, of which Mr. Richards was a member. The Reverend William F. Hastings, pastor of the First Congregational Church of Ithaca, will officiate. Burial will be in Quick Cemetery, Brooktondale.
