On his arrival in the city last Monday, Fireman John Ackerman of the Red Lodge train received a telegram conveying the sad intelligence of the death at Billings of his 15-months-old daughter. Mrs. Ackerman was nearly crazed with grief over the death of her baby and secured a revolver for the purpose of accomplishing her self-destruction. Before the rash act could be committed, however, the weapon was taken from her by Billings friends.
