William and Elizabeth were married on November 12, 1816, Ross Co., OH by John Graves, Justice of the Peace. William Odle brought his family from Ohio to Randolph Co., IN in 1820. They settled in Ward Twp near Deerfield on the Mississinewa River near his sister, Sarah, who with her husband George Reitenour gave land for the Reitenour Cemetery, which bears his name. William was a private in the command of Captain Martin Armstrong and Colonel Sutton in the Ohio Militia. He was inducted on the 1st day of July, 1814 and served for two or three months and was honorably discharged about September 1814. William and Elizabeth had 13 children. John Nelson, Caleb Owen, David Bolt, Eleanor Franklin, William Franklin, Sarah Jane, Aseneth Ann, George Reitnour, Marietta, Elisha Barrett, James Quinn. They were Methodists. William performed the first ceremony in Bear Creek Two, Jay Co, IN on Nov 6, 1834.
