Final rites were conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday from Pearl River Avenue Methodist Church for W. G. Ainsworth, 66, who died Monday at 11:55 a.m. at the Veterans Hospital, Jackson, after a 6-year illness.
Mr. Ainsworth was a merchant and had resided on route 2, McComb, for the past 16 years. He was born November 26, 1889, and was a veteran of World War I.
Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Vertile Pope, Texas; three brothers, Rev. T. M. Ainsworth, Mozelle, J. W. Ainsworth, Columbia, and Frank Ainsworth, Monticello; and three sisters, Mrs. John Craft, Jayess, Mrs. C. C. McEwen, Summit, Mrs. C. M. Bacot, Tylertown.
Interment was in Hollywood Cemetery with Hartman Funeral Home in charge.
