Robert was survived by his sister/niece, Judy Salazar Hice of Dixon; sister/cousin, Virgie Garcia (husband Desi); brother William Salazar of Albuquerque; great-nieces: Belinda Salazar of Dixon, Melissa Gallegos (husband Leonard) of Dixon, Deanna Chavez of Clovis, Lori Valdez (husband Anthony) great-great-nephews: Paul Salazar of Albuquerque; Gabriel Salazar, Anthony Valdez Jr., John Salazar, Adam San Juan Jr., Antonio Herrera Jr., Westlee Muñiz; great-great-nieces: Esperanza San Juan, Annika Salazar and Lenisiana Gallegos, Renee Valdez, and numerous other loving relatives and close friends.
Public visitation and funeral service were on June 12, 2012 in the Chapel of Peace of DeVargas Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial followed at the Apostolic Cemetery in Apodaca. Pallbearers: Leonard Gallegos, Rick Rendon, Rodger Valdez, Arnold Suazo, Ricky Suazo and Ernesto Martinez.
