Beulah Cancilla, a bookkeeper for Serpa's in Martinez and for Lehmer's in Concord, until she retired in 1982, died of pneumonia at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Walnut Creek. She was 79.

The native of Stillwater, Okla., lived in Concord and Martinez before moving to Clayton 30 years ago.

Her oldest son, Charles "Chuck" Earl Majors was cremated. You will see him in the obituaries for her and his siblings.

Survivors: Daughter, Sharon Martinez of Martinez; sons, Charles Majors of Lower Lake and Michael Majors of Westwood; sister, Mabel Pollock of Choctaw, Okla.; six grandchildren; and seven grandchildren. Her husband, Cos, died in 1979.
