Miss Baird Dead
Miss Baird, sister of J.H. Baird, 903 West street, died at 12:30 today of a complication of diseases. She had been sick since the 8th of May, soon after a return from a winter spent in the south.
She was born in southern Illinois and was reared and educated in the same portion of the country. Her mother died while she was still young.
Twenty-five years ago she came to Emporia with her father and two brothers James and J.H. Baird who for a number of years were extensive merchants here. Her father and James died some years ago and now her brother, J.H., is left alone. Miss Baird was a member of the U.P. church.
