Hazel Dean Whiting-Kienzle died at the age of 37 years old in Queens, New York.

She was survived by her beloved husband, Frederick Christian Kienzle, whom she married on July 13, 1919 in New York, New York and their three children, Douglas Frederick "Dougee" Kienzle, Walter S. Kienzle and Ruth M. Kienzle.

Hazel is buried in the grave next to her dear husband's youngest brother Arthur Herman Kienzle and his 13 year old daughter Dorothy and her grave is behind her beloved in-laws William and Dorothea
