They are buried in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, 7 miles East of Maryville, about 3 to 5 miles from his home where his son, Dr. James Waters, now lives near Walland. Squie Waters donated the land for Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and sold 1 acre of land for use as their burying ground. He was a Deacon at Pleasant Grove and the Treasurer of Porter Academy for 30 years.
