He was born May 3, 1923 in Clinton, Utah to Wilford and Martha Patterson Bingham.
On July 10, 1941, Eugene married Faye Irene Allen in Evanston, Wyoming. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on May 30, 1961. Faye preceded him in death on December 9, 2010.
He worked as a Switchman/Brakeman for Union Pacific Railroad. He had his own irrigation and ditching company.
Eugene was a member of the LDS Church where he served faithfully in his callings.
He was an excellent farmer and gardener. He enjoyed golfing and being a snowbird for 25 years in Quartzsite, Arizona with his wife, Faye. He always said I'm gonna live until I die.
Eugene is survived by eight children, Ronald (Shirley) Bingham, Neta (Robert) Hamblin, Darrel (Sandra) Bingham, Colleen (Robert, deceased) Postel, Jay Dee (Sue) Bingham, LaNett (Rockland) Draper, Wesley A. (Cindy) Bingham, June (Edward) Hodgson; many grandchildren, many more great-grandchildren; and one sister, Donna Steele.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a daughter, Connie Jean, a granddaughter, Kimberly Bingham, son-in-law, Robert Postel, and 14 brothers and sisters.
Graveside services will be held Friday, June 8th at 11 a.m. at the Clinton City Cemetery, 750 West 800 North.
The family will meet with friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Lindquist's Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.
