Rex W. Bess, 91, of Highland died March 29, 1990, at his home.
The son of James and Merry Boss Bess, he married in 1939, in Waterloo, Ill, Leona C. Connoll, who survives.
Mr. and Mrs. Bess owned and operated Bess Cleaners in Highland from 1939 until retiring in 1969. He earlier had worked for Skelgas Co., before moving to Highland in 1939. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War I and served with the 93rd Aero Squadron.
