Wilma F. Haney, 69, Medina, Ohio, died Friday, May 25, 2012, at Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, Ohio, after a lengthy illness.
Born Sept. 7, 1942, in Ohl, she was a daughter of the late Ira Wilson Rankin and Vernon Wilamina Wagner. She was married to Lester L. Haney. He preceded her in death.
She was a 1960 graduate of Brookville High. She lived in the Brookville, DuBois and Penfield areas. She had been a secretary for Brookville Glove Manufacturing Company and an account representative for Travelers Insurance and G.C. Wright insurance agencies.
She enjoyed country music and motorcycles.
She is survived by five children: Leonard L. "Lenny" Haney and Gregory Haney, both of King, N.C., Guy Haney, Madina, Ohio, Gary Haney, Somerset, and Vernon "Pokey" Haney, Virginia; two brothers, Howard "Deek" Rankin and Wilson "Sonny" Rankin, both of DuBois; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Virginia Myers; and two brothers, Wilber and Richard Haney.
A private funeral service was held May 29 at Leo Nedza Funeral Home, DuBois. Burial was in Lakelawn Memorial Park, Reynoldsville.
