BORGER — Edward Donald "Eddie" Asberry, 68, of Elgin died Tuesday, May 29, 2012.

Services will be at noon Friday in Calvary Baptist Church in Dumas with Greg Long and Brad Foster officiating. Burial will follow in Dumas Cemetery. Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. June 9 in Lost Pines Cowboy Church in Elgin. Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Directors of Borger.

Eddie was born July 15, 1943, in El Paso to Olen and Alice Turner Asberry. On July 4, 1965, he married the love of his life, Linda Sue Jordan.

Survivors include his son, E. Scott Asberry of Iowa Park; two daughters, Becky Martin of Elgin and Kristi O'Gorman of Stinnett; a brother, Butch Asberry of Harrisburg, Pa.; a sister, Betty Irvin of Amarillo; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be made to Lost Pines Cowboy Church, Eddie Asberry Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 307, Elgin, TX 78621 or Odyssey Hospice, 6900 W. Interstate 40, Suite 150, Amarillo, TX 79106.
